Palm Springs is pretty much synonymous with the concept of a guys weekend and Hard Rock Hotel is about the perfect place to call base camp for your adventure. This is a destination that since the 1930’s has been home to legendary men such as Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, and even General Patton who’s troops trained in the desert near here. Today, it is a destination with almost limitless opportunities for guys to rock out, blow off some steam, and then get pampered with top notch spas.

Michigan is in the news a lot these days with the ups and downs of the auto industry and the woes of Detroit, but there is more to this state than just car builders and desolate Detroit. We visit Michigan regularly to interact with the Big Three automakers and to attend the Detroit Auto Show, but we also like to go four-wheeling while we’re there. In the past year we’ve been there twice and both times had a great visit with local off-roaders.

Michigan may be pretty flat, but that doesn’t mean the locals are scared of heights. Jeremy Salewsky has a stroker 383 feeding a TH400 three-speed in his ’86 Chevy, but he doesn’t suffer acrophobia.

If you are an off-roader, you’ll love this thing. This Jeep Wrangler is called “Rattletrap” and it’s basically a highly-tuned monster. The vehicle was built by the team at Martin Barkey Racing back in 2007 and now, the “Rattletrap” is on sale. The asking price? A whopping $225,000 that brings hell of a lot of vehicle in one single thing.

The vehicle is powered by a twin-turbo 5.9-liter 12-valve Cummins diesel engine, delivering well over 500 horsepower and over 1000lb-ft of torque. The vehicle features a JK Body & Frame, protecting both the car’s internals and it’s passengers, giving you the added safety aspect overall.
